Ashley Wood Farm Wedding Photographer

If you're looking for a wedding venue that feels effortlessly stylish without trying too hard, Ashley Wood Farm in Tisbury is one that's well worth knowing about. Tucked away in the Wiltshire countryside, it strikes that perfect balance between relaxed and refined. It has incredible views, beautiful old stone buildings, and plenty of space to make a wedding feel personal rather than overly formal. As an Ashley Wood Farm Wedding Photographer, it's exactly the kind of venue I love photographing because every part of the day flows so naturally.

One of the things that makes Ashley Wood Farm such a brilliant place to get married is how versatile it is. Whether you're planning a laid-back outdoor ceremony, a stylish barn reception or a celebration that lasts well into the evening, the venue gives you so many options without ever losing its character. The gardens, rolling countryside and gorgeous stone barn all offer completely different backdrops, meaning your wedding gallery has loads of variety without ever needing to leave the venue.

The outdoor ceremony space is especially lovely during the summer months. Surrounded by countryside and open skies, it feels intimate while still having that sense of space. It's easy to see why so many couples fall in love with Ashley Wood Farm when they first visit. Everywhere you look there's another great spot for photographs, whether that's the farmhouse gardens, the rustic buildings or simply the surrounding landscape.

From a photography point of view, it's one of those venues that seems to work in every type of light. Bright sunshine, soft overcast skies or golden evening light all suit the venue beautifully, which is another reason I always enjoy being an Ashley Wood Farm Wedding Photographer.

Alex and Jade's wedding was a perfect example of everything that makes this venue so special.

Jade is actually a wedding photographer herself, which meant she had put an incredible amount of thought into how the day would run. Not in a way that felt over-planned or rigid, but in a way that allowed everyone to relax because everything had already been considered. The timeline flowed brilliantly, there was plenty of time built in for the important moments, and nothing ever felt rushed.

The outdoor ceremony looked absolutely stunning. The aisle and ceremony space were dressed with the most amazing colourful summer flowers by Daisy Grace Blooms, bringing so much life and personality to an already beautiful setting. Against the natural stone buildings and the surrounding greenery, the colours really popped without ever feeling too much.

After the ceremony everyone made their way over to the beautiful stone barn, which looked incredible inside. The styling complemented the venue perfectly, keeping everything elegant but relaxed. One of the nicest things about Ashley Wood Farm is that it doesn't need loads of decoration to make an impact. The character of the venue does so much of the work already, so every thoughtful detail simply adds to what's already there.

Throughout the day there was such a calm atmosphere. I think having a photographer as the bride definitely helped! Jade knew exactly how valuable it is to have time to actually enjoy your wedding rather than feeling like you're constantly being pulled away for photographs. We kept portraits natural and relaxed, making the most of the beautiful grounds without taking them away from their guests for too long.

As an Ashley Wood Farm Wedding Photographer, those are always my favourite kinds of days. Couples get to spend time with the people they've invited, everything unfolds naturally, and the photographs end up feeling genuine because nothing is forced. My favourite thing about Ashley Wood Farm has to be the endless views, and the really pretty courtyard surrounded by the lovely stone cottages and barn.

As the evening arrived, the light across the fields was incredible. We slipped away for a few quiet portraits while guests enjoyed drinks back at the barn, making the most of that soft summer sunshine before heading back to the party. Those little pockets of time often create some of my favourite images from the whole day.

It's easy to see why Ashley Wood Farm is a popular venue for couples looking for something that feels stylish without being overly formal. It has all the ingredients for an amazing wedding: beautiful scenery, flexible spaces, a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of opportunities for incredible photographs. It's also a dry hire venue which means that there are no restrictions on which suppliers you use! One thing I do advise is having a Wedding Planner / Coordinator on the day, with a venue that doesn't have a designated events team running things there really needs to someone on the day to coordinate with all the suppliers, help with minor issues, keep timings on track, and generally just be on hand to help! Jade and Alex had Emma Reeves running their day, and she did such a great job.

Being an Ashley Wood Farm Wedding Photographer is always something I look forward to because every wedding feels different while still making the most of everything the venue has to offer. Alex and Jade's day was full of thoughtful details, brilliant people, colourful flowers and the kind of relaxed energy that makes documenting a wedding such a pleasure.
